Frankfort High School has a rich tradition of providing high quality theatre instruction for over 100 years.

Tradition of Excellence

The FHS Drama club truly has a tradition of creative excellence. Our goal is to create an atmosphere of learning where all students grow both personally and as thespians. We focus on teaching fundamental acting and technical skills that will be valuable to students whether they pursue theatre at the collegiate level or through community theatre productions as adults.

Every year the drama club produces multiple plays. Additionally, the program regularly conducts workshops that enhance the students skills as actors. We also take field trips to view plays and attend conferences.

Building Ensembles

Building a strong ensemble is a major tenet of our drama program. Overcoming a challenges together helps our students build cohesive teams.

Fostering Creativity

Creativity is at the heart of our program. We encourage  our students to develop a strong sense of artistic commitment that is rooted upon a solid foundation of creative thought

Teaching Life-skills

Through participation in our productions students gain a wealth of real life skills that will serve them for the rest of their lives. Our actors gain strong public speaking skills through our program. Additionally, we instill a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork that will benefit them in the real world.
